Bill Acuff Providing Small Business Fraud Presentation in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TN (August 24, 2011)–Bill Acuff, director of forensic and internal audit services for Decosimo Certified Public Accountants (Decosimo), will be speaking on the topic “The Reality of Fraud in Small Business” at the next monthly luncheon hosted by The Center for Entrepreneurial Growth (CEG) and the Hamilton County Business Development Center (BDC). The presentation will be held at the BDC’s Technology Center at 100 Cherokee Blvd. on Sept. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m

As a certified fraud examiner certified in financial forensics, Bill Acuff, CPA, has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting conducting fraud investigations for companies and their owners. He also provides litigation support to attorneys. In addition to investigating fraud, he and Decosimo’s team of forensic accountants provide proactive fraud risk assessments, evaluate internal controls and help design and implement comprehensive anti-fraud programs, including the use of computer-aided detection tools and techniques. Mr. Acuff is a past president of the Chattanooga Area chapter of the Association of Certified Forensic Accountants and is active as a member with the forensic committees with the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
